Description
Pure, natural NZ beeswax
Our beeswax is 100% natural and untreated perfect for a variety of uses. Melted and lightly filtered to remove any residual impurities (particles, bee parts etc) allows the wax to be sold in its purest form. It has not had any fine filtrations that our beeswax pellets have gone through.
The colour of the wax can vary slightly, depending on what the bees have been foraging on.
NB: due to the natural unrefined state –you may wish to carry out further cleaning of the wax depending on your intended use.
Tip: Beeswax has a melting point of 61 - 65 degrees celsius. To get the best out of our beeswax, do not use more heat than is necessary, and heat only for as long as is required.
Details
Storage: Product should be kept in a cool, dry area away from strong light.
Hazard: Water should not be added to beeswax which is at a temperature exceeding 95 deg C as it will cause uncontrolled foaming.
